The PaleoPins are finally getting an expansion!!

Hello friends!

It's been three whole years since you all helped the very first PaleoPins campaign kick butt!! I put out that campaign during and despite a very turbulent time in my life (2020 amirite?) where I truly considered giving up on my passion for the arts... and it was YOU and these enamel pins which helped keep my head above water when it seemed impossible.

Well I'm back three years later to say THANK YOU. There was no way for me to fully understand what an enormous impact one Kickstarter campaign could have, but with hindsight it's monumentally lifechanging in so many ways I could never have foreseen. 

Truly. 

Thank you, every one of you.

With that said, it is my absolute pleasure and joy to announce a very long awaited and MUCH requested addition to the original series of Kickstarted pins:

The PaleoPins Diversity Expansion is going live June 15th

Does that also happen to be my birthday? Yes. 

Does this mean I have no work/life balance. Yes. Yes it does 😌

The Diversity Expansion aims specifically to better round out the permanent collection of PaleoPins, as well as add a whole bunch of new Extinction designs to collect PLUS some very super cool new stretch goals for extra special designs I could never afford to create without the help of campaigns (like a life size pin. You read that right. LIFE SIZE!!)

Quick Update on Shipments! Future pin plans, + some of your photos!

Happy monday, everyone! I hope you've all been enjoying a nice April. It's time again for an update on the pins!

I'm both happy and frustrated to say that half of the pins have been successfully shipped out and received!! Frustrated because of course I was hoping to be 100% by now, but happy that they're all arriving safely. Backerkit has a great system for easily keeping an eye on all in transit packages, and I'm really pleased to report that we have a 100% success rate with USPS so far. If any of you have been attempting to send packages in the US over this past year, you may be aware of that USPS has been having a difficult year, so not a single Paleo Pin package failing to reach its destination is AWESOME! That difficulty with USPS is part of the reason I've been sending the packages out in small batches of 8-10 orders at a time.

That said, I'm feeling fairly confidant in the rest of the orders arriving safe and sound and my goal is for everyone to have their pins by the end of the month (in the mail if not in hand! Some have quite a ways to travel)

I do apologize that these have taken weeks longer to get out to you all than I had hoped at the beginning of this project, and I'll admit there are certainly things that I would do differently knowing what I know now. But this has been an invaluable learning experience, and I thank you all for being so supportive and patient while I figure it out! That said, I had mentioned to my higher tier backers that I had plans for future pin collections to compliment the Paleo Pins already out~ Modern Birds! This is still a ways off, I haven't had any time to work on this next idea other than a few sketches, but I'd like to at least share those with all of you now!

Like I said, these were from a while ago, but I'm still excited to work on a line of these hopefully later this year! I've also been chewing on an idea for Fungi as well 🍄

And one last fun thing to hopefully help tide over those of you yet to receive your pins; I've been tagged in some REALLY fun photos of the pins on IG and Twitter!! Here are a few of them!

Orders are really starting to arrive!!

I finally get to see these little beauties in YOUR hands! 😍

Packing all of these up is a tall order, but I'm chipping away at them every day. I'm about half way through already and picking up the pace! If you haven't received your pins yet, don't worry I'm keeping a close eye on the in-transit shipments and it seems there've been no issues yet. It just means yours is probably one of the very next I'm packing up!!

I'm focusing on getting these out as quickly as I possibly can, hopefully with as few mistakes as possible too. Of course, if there is anything at all wrong with your shipment when it arrives, you can contact me directly at [email protected], and I'll take care of it asap.

I apologize for the short update but these take me a lot of time (writing is hard haha) and I've got packing to get through!! That said, I'll keep up with these updates as often as I can to keep you all in the loop as we roll these bad bois out 😉👍

Update ~ Shipping Begins!

It's official, the first round of shipments are on their way!! 🥳

This round is the very first 10% of orders going out, to be sure everything goes smoothly. With some much appreciated helping hands, I've organized and backed ALL of the pins, and I'm going to be knocking out the rest of the shipments as quickly as possible in the next weeks.

I went and lost the sd card for my camera, but I'm ordering a new one and when that comes in I'll have lots and lots of pin beauty shots to post :D Keep an eye out for more updates as I get these out!!

They've finally arrived!!🦖🦖🦖

Thank you all for being so so patient, there were delays with both customs and then the ice storms but they're HERE! In hand and looking absolutely amazing! Even better than I had hoped, see for yourselves~

Real quick, two important notes before I show off more bootiful pins

     ~ Shipping addresses are going to lock in two days! If you have or are moving, be sure to update your address before then.

     ~ There are still FOUR people who have not filled out their surveys. I can easily resend the survey if you need, but if you fail to fill it out I won't be able to complete your fulfillment

Okay, more pin phooootos! What do you guys think of the pins backers??

I'm still waiting on a couple last minute things to come in (like a new label printer; my old one decided to die just last week), but in the mean time I'm organizing all the pins, assembling them with their backing cards, and quality checking them as I do. This part is pretty labor/time intensive, but luckily I have all of the X-Files to keep me company while I knock this out 😁👍

I'll update again with more photos of the pins on their backers, as well as the orders as they start getting packed up!! They're going to start shipping out sooo sooooon!!!
